Space Services Australia (SSA)
primary aim is to construct Australia's first commercial space
rocket and we want your help.
In fact we are seeking volunteers and corporate support to help
develop a vehicle designed and built in Australia and within
a short period. It is intended that this rocket will offer a
low cost entry into space for a variety of commercial and research
clients.
Few Australians are aware that
their nation was once at the forefront of Space exploration and
development. On the 29th of November 1967 Australia became the
fifth country (third from its own territory) to launch a locally
produced satellite (WRESAT). A US supplied Redstone launch vehicle
was used.
Space Services Australia phase
one development proposes to build and launch an Australian designed
and developed vehicle that can provide an orbital lift capability
for:
- Suborbital Payloads
- Nanosatellite Delivery (Up
to 10 Kg to 250 Km Polar LEO)
We expect to follow an approach
that is focused on hands-on practical testing and development.
If you are student of aeronautics,
a retired engineer, a software developer or just really keen
to help build machines that fly high and fast please give us
a call. We want to put together a team that will help put Australia
back into space. If you think someone you know might be interested
in this site please let them know.
Yours,
Matthew King
